Travel
Travel is a passion for us, and we're currently dreaming of putting together a plan to visit all of the world's UNESCO sites during our lifetime. How hard can it be - after all, there are currently only 878 properties on the list . . . currently . . . .
UNESCO stand for United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, and we think it's pretty interesting.
In the summer of 2004, we visited Belgium and France to attend the European Juggling Convention. It was a fantastic trip, and we discovered pretty quickly that we both like the same things about traveling (new cultures, new experiences, new foods, new wines, new hikes, and new stories to tell) and can equally tolerate the unexpected annoyances that happen along the way (getting lost, getting lost in translation, and losing things).
Since then, we've visited Japan, Alaska, Western Canada, and the better part of the western U.S. by car. Next up? Iceland, Ethiopia, Spain/Portugal, Brazil, Scandinavia . . . hmmm, who knows?!
